 2008 ANNUAL MEETING - PUBLIC NOTICE

Please join the Board of Directors and members of the Youth Association of Pocono Mountain

at the Swiftwater Intermediate School Cafeteria on Tuesday, April 15th, at 7pm for the YAPM annual meeting.

Come meet the Board of Directors, hear the summary of the prior business year, and plans for the upcoming year. You have an opportunity to contribute your ideas towards how the YAPM can best serve our Youth Football and Cheerleading community. The election of Board members will  take place at this annual meeting.

The Youth Association of Pocono Mountain is a member of the All County Conference Junior Football League.

Mission and Objective

• It is the purpose of the Youth Association of Pocono Mountain and the ACC to teach and promote youth football and cheerleading. Our primary goal is to instruct the sports of football and cheerleading properly and by the rules. We believe winning is secondary to good sportsmanship. We believe that all children and parents should feel confident that they are participating in a safe, healthy, fun activity, and to enjoy a rewarding experience. To insure this, the YAPM insists on high standards of conduct and fair play from all of its coaches, players and parents.

• The YAPM provides a safe environment for our players and cheerleaders as they participate in junior football and cheerleading activities. Our responsibility is to the participants on the field regardless of team affiliation.

• The YAPM promotes good sportsmanship between all teams by teaching our players and cheerleaders the values of fairness, respect, and compassion. We will demonstrate those values every day as we lead by example.

• Place the good of the league over and above all else. Individual accomplishments will never take precedence over the well being of the league and its participants.
